The common horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) is a species of horse chestnut (Aesculus) native to the Balkans and widely planted in Central Europe. Horse chestnut has anti-inflammatory, astringent, antibacterial, blood-purifying, haemostatic, diuretic, antispasmodic, expectorant and pain-relieving effects.
The blue-green juniper berries, cones of the juniper, grow on evergreen shrubs or small trees up to 12m high. The slightly yellowish oil extracted from the dried berries by steam distillation is said to have numerous physical as well as psychological effects. Juniper oil can be used both internally (not with emmi-bioMYO) and externally.
Juniper oil helps with the following physical ailments: joint pain, muscle pain, back pain, rheumatism, arthritis and tension in the neck and shoulder area, and can even work wonders for sprains and strains. Hellebore (Helleborus) originally comes from Transylvania and Galicia. The perennial plant blossoms between January and March and stands out beautifully with its dark, purple flowers against the white snow. The plant is often also called Christmas rose.
Hellebore is a rediscovered ancient medicinal plant. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, hellebore can also be used for diseases from the rheumatological spectrum (rheumatoid arthritis, activated osteoarthritis, collagenoses).
